1. Drape the tie around the neck with the wide end of the tie on your right side and the narrow end on your left side.
2. Instead of simply curling the larger end completely around the smaller end and then knotting, curl the larger end around and behind, then pull it up and over the neck loop.
3. Once the larger end is over the neck loop, curl it behind the smaller end again with the back side of the wide end facing up as seen here.
4. Now fold the wide end over to the left in a horizontal position.
5.From the horizontal position, curl the wide end under the neck loop and pull up.
6. Now tuck the wide end down and into the knot you have created.
7. While holding the narrow end, gently tighten the knot by pulling the wider end down.
8. With one hand to still holding the the narrow end down, use the other hand to move the knot up until it reaches the center of the collar.
9. Tighten until snug and a dimple is formed.
