Men have used headwear for multiple purposes over time. The main reason previously woudl have been for protection form the elements. Now a days though the hat is still common place for protection of the head form the elements, they are predominantly used now as a fashionable addition to ones attire. There’s nothing like setting off that formal suit wiht a Fedora or to protect from a hot days sun, when playing in the park by wearing a Baseball Cap.
